Stefanie Valcheva

Stefanie has spent nearly a decade working on transformative projects aimed at safeguarding the environment and catalyzing social progress. 

Through her work with the UN, humanitarian organizations, and various actors in the private sector, she has contributed to the success of over 200 proposals, projects, and programs in more than 70 countries in the following focal areas: Climate Change Mitigation, Climate Change Adaptation, Chemicals & Waste, Land Degradation, Biodiversity, International Waters. 

Stefanie also has an extensive track record in mobilizing resources from environmental funds such as the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF), the Special Climate Change Fund (SCCF), and the Green Climate Fund (GCF). During her engagement with UNIDO, the UN Agency specialized in inclusive and sustainable industrial development, she played a pivotal role across the full spectrum of GEF-funded projects —from initial concept development to project reporting and closure. Her guidance was instrumental in navigating colleagues through the complexities of funding applications, significantly enhancing their proposals to successfully secure financing. 

She is deeply passionate about engaging in initiatives that not only protect the planet but also foster sustainable growth opportunities for communities around the globe.

Stefanie holds a MSc degree from the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and the Technical University of Vienna on Environmental Technology and International Affairs, and a BSc degree in International Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. 

Duygu Aladag Baldauf

Duygu incorporates her decade-long experience in sustainability, strategic partnerships and access to finance to guide businesses and organizations on their sustainability journeys.

She is a sustainability expert with a proven track record of success in the UN and the private sector.

Previously, Duygu managed a global climate programme at UNIDO, fostering innovation and growth among climate entrepreneurs in over 100 countries across Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America. Her consulting experience spans designing UN sustainable development projects to supporting high-tech startups.

Duygu's passion lies in guiding organizations on their unique sustainability journeys. She excels at:

Duygu holds a Master's degree from the University of Edinburgh Business School on International Business and Emerging Markets, with a prestigious scholarship from the EU's Jean Monnet Programme, and a BSc degree in Economics and Management from the London School of Economics (LSE).
